Your argument saying autos are only needed for chasers is incorrect. Because of the shitty 2 weapon system and health regen the autos are the defense's counter to heavies. Without a real grenade launcher, viable shocklance and mine-disking heavies can just keep spamming and running away unless there is an auto to stop their regen and deal damage from a distance. Raiders with autos are stupid though.

The main problem with banning weapons is that when players join and use their loadouts they have empty weapon slots right? The server doesn't give them the preferred weapons.

For example, if I had my choice I would get rid of the high damage variants of a lot of weapons like the gast rifle, arctic rhino, holdout shotgun etc. But those players will have to change their loadouts instead of the weapons being auto switched for them right?

Chasers chase juggs too!

It's hard to understand everyone's opinions on here. Would it be possible to have a poll or something to see some graphs of what people want? Vote yes/no/i dont care on things

So are flag drags set up to the new high people want? As a chaser that is kind of slow even I am fine with that.


Spine for tonight maybe you can just disable brute, cloaker and DMB and we can try that? And if too many people complain we can switch to cygnus?

That leaves pathfinder, soldier, jugg and the offensive medium raider and defensive medium tech. You could remove all of the autos from the tech and raider. That leaves LAR and Soldier AR. And if DMB is disabled maybe leave LMG for jugg HOF? I find LMG much less powerful than chaingun/cannon.

Im hoping you meant to disable Brute and not DMB, DMB is your HoF.

Im willing to try something like this maybe for a map to see how it plays out. I was a little tardy this week so i couldnt set anything up. I dont know if anyone else noticed but some of the later maps that are played in the mixers now are starting to become dominated by autos. I know we cant completely eliminate it but maybe limit it a little.

Not sure, but Gorthaur is probably meaning DoomBringer which is okay by me (it would eliminate mines), and yes...I have noticed that the later maps are dominated by autos and then mostly by new comers. If the pupose of eliminated the Dmb is because of the Chaingun/cannon then I would push to eliminate the X1 LMG in the Jug also. (Have I mentioned lately that I absolutely deplore Fractals?)

I only got to play one game last night in the mixer, but the new settings seemed to work very well, at least with the limited number of people.

Just so everyone knows...I have been setting up the CYGNUS server with Blitz maps on Monday's, all Blitz maps except for Blue whateveritis, and set the score to win back to 5.

Any more plans for mixing it up on mixer night? as in, path only, temp ban autos, jack physics to crazy, etc? Since we cant mod the game, we can mod the server to have more fun and keep it fresh.

Can we move server back to central? The issues seem to have cleared up I think. Also it will help people from west coast who stopped coming to mixer because of really high ping like Run I Got a Gun. It would also fix the flag bouncy bug!

As per request I have increased the number of Technicians permitted on the server to three (3) per side. Hopefully this will circumvent the Technician bug.

Also, I saw that Woozl was online today...and I played on the other Cygnus2 server hosted by Tasadar1 for a while.
